HP2 deliver's on their promises

An example of how HP2 helps their clients overcome paralyzing obstacles and create extraordinary results.

Itron came to us with a series of concerns. They are a global player in the manufacturing, sale, and servicing of meters for water, gas and electric utilities around the world. Like many companies they were looking to migrate into a more services oriented business mix. To complicate matters the company was the result of a series of mergers and didn’t have a unifying culture. Instead they operated a series of fiefdoms that didn’t communicate well with each other and as a result the company was missing revue opportunities due to a lack of capacity for rapid coordination and was slow to innovate.

Our job was to build “One Itron.”

We started with the top 200 people in the organization and put them through 9 months of work on building the practices of commitment based management. We put in place new performance principles, new practices for collaboration, coordination, mobilization, building trust, managing the mood, consistent innovation, and building and leading real teams. The results were quite impressive. Itron invested roughly $2.5 million in the initiative and documented a combined total of $135million in cost savings and new revenue.

“FORTUNES ARE NOT MADE IN BOOM TIMES. . . THAT IS MERELY THE COLLECTION PERIOD. FORTUNES ARE MADE IN DEPRESSIONS OR LEAN TIMES WHEN THE WISE MAN OVERHAULS HIS MIND, HIS METHODS, HIS RESOURCES, AND GETS IN TRAINING FOR THE RACE TO COME.”
